Why
do we need translation, anyway?
“The
whole world speaks English”.
Well,
actually, no, it doesn’t. English is the dominant tongue on the net, but
billions of people cannot read it.
Data
from Nielsen, the market research company, and the International Telecommunications
Union show that only a quarter of the internet audience speaks English and only
about 35% of Google’s revenues come from outside the United States and Britain.
It
is imperative for companies to translate their websites into the languages of
their target audiences.
Erick
Schonfeld, from the TechCrunch blog, said: “Google does a decent job
translating web pages from other languages, but machine-based translation is
still not good enough when you need a truly accurate translation”.
On
our database we have over 1000 native linguists, they
are fully qualified as translators, between them are
able to cover all languages and all subject matters.
